 Bracket mania is back by popular demand!

Many of you have shared how enjoyable you find this contest, so the competition is back on for 2024! We're hosting it online again this year, same site. You can easily track your progress but you need to hurry, because the deadline is quickly approaching!

C'mon, it's easy! You don't have to know the teams or even "give a flip" about basketball! Take a chance, please!

It costs nothing to play. The brackets are seeded with numbers and projected rankings 1-16, with one being the highest ranked team. It's as simple as guessing, or flipping a coin.

Cool prizes ($1,000, $500 and $250 credits on your account with us) can be yours!

You do have to do something. All players must register on the CBSsports.com site; see the link below to go to our website for instructions.

Returning players will have it easy. You'll just have to remember your username and password. We have no business affiliation with the site other than it makes life simple. I'm sure our previous participants can attest to the benefits of current updates and tracking. Disclaimer: Your name does show up on a list of all participants. If that would bother you, please abstain from the contest, or figure out an alias and let us know how you are registered BEFORE the contest begins. Once registered on the site, you can edit your settings to get constant to minimal email updates as the competition progresses. The deadline for submitting your online bracket will be on the website.

Rules of play:

1. You must have had an "official" visit within the last 18 months (you know...the type where we say "Come on back!" and you actually walk through the reception door).
2. You must not have an outstanding balance in our office of more than 90 days.
3. Must be 18 years of age
4. One entry per person
5. Points are awarded by victories in each round as follows :

o   Round 1: 1 point (32 total possible)

o   Round 2: 2 points (32 possible)

o   Round 3 (Regionals): 4 points (32 possible)

o   Round 4 (Semifinals): 8 points (32 possible)

o   Championship teams: 16 points (32 possible)

o   National Champion: 32 points

o   Tie breaker: Closest score of Championship game
