He was also honored as the 2007 Dentist of the Year of the Dallas Academy of General Dentistry by his peers and represented Dallas at the Texas AGD Annual Meeting. He has been selected as a Texas Monthly Super Dentist every year by his peers since 2008. He feels especially honored to be chosen by his colleagues and wants to humbly thank them for their recognition (while also assuring the web surfing world that he's not superior to any other Texas dentist)! Dr. Roy is an active and highly sought-after leader, serving or logging past service on multiple boards and leadership committees within the dental profession. He is a past President and Board Director of the Dallas Academy of General Dentistry, a National Delegate, and a past Board Director for the Texas Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Roy also enjoyed time as an editor for the TexasGP, the official publication for the Texas Academy of General Dentistry, until resigning to focus on the family. He is the past recipient of the Dallas Academy of General Dentistry's Dentist of the Year Award and is a Fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry. In his spare time, Dr. Roy fancies fishing & any manner of family fun or time experiencing the great outdoors. As time allows, he also hangs out on the Crown Council dental forum, Twitter, and either playing or following most local sports activities, especially those related to his children. Dr. Bristow is a Texas girl to the core. Growing up in Mesquite, she traveled across Texas to study at Baylor University for her undergraduate degree and to Houston at the UT School of Dentistry for her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. Dr. Bristow and Dr. Roy have worked together at 21st Century Dental of Irving for over 10 years. One of Dr. Bristow’s passions is volunteering her time and skills to help others. She has been on mission trips to Mexico and Guatemala, donating no-cost dental treatment to local communities in need. She has also participated in multiple Texas Mission of Mercy events, which provide free dental care to our veterans. She spent time donating dental services through North Dallas Shared Ministries, which provides free dental care to residents in Dallas. After only a year, the program had grown into a five-day-per-week training course for dental students that could serve a much larger population of the community. In 2012, she led the fundraiser for 21st Century Dental of Irving to raise a donation for the Special Olympics Texas and celebrated with the organization by rappelling down the side of a 15-story building. A native of Richardson, TX, Dr. Jonni Kumar has been practicing dentistry for a decade and counting. Growing up, his older brother was one of the biggest inspirations for his decision to pursue a career as a dentist. Watching him work through the process of becoming a successful professional motivated him to work towards the same dream. Now, he gets to enjoy being able to make a lasting difference in the lives of others by improving their oral health at 21st Century Dental of Irving. He later went on to study at Louisiana State University to obtain his Doctor of Dental Science degree. He’s also undertaken advanced dental courses in various topics, including level 1 sedation dentistry, dental implant pathway, All of 4 Cadaver, sinus lift, dental emergencies, and dental XP. Other than expanding his expertise and skills through continuing education, Dr. Kumar is also a proud and active member of professional organizations such as the: If you don’t find him treating pearly whites at the dental office, Dr. Kumar is spending much of his time creating amazing memories with his family and loved ones. He loves being with his partner, Angela, and their two dogs, Nola and Bunty. He also considers himself an adventure seeker and enjoys traveling as often as he can. His hobbies include hiking mountains, going to the beach, and checking out new coffee shops and restaurants.
