Photo-Brushing Contest Rules and Regulations
Deadline: October 1, 2005 – All judging will
be final by October 15, 2005, and winners will be notified by November
1st, 2005
Contestant: Must be an active patient, having your
teeth cleaned between October 1st 2004 and October 1st, 2005.

Photos
- Photographs must be originally owned by the entrant. Each
entrant must provide written permission from any person who appears
as a focal point in the photo.
- We will accept a maximum of three photos
from a single contestant. Once you have sent 3, you may replace any
of these until the deadline.
- Patient must be the one being brushed,
but the brusher does not have
to be the patient
- No imaged digital photos, please. You may tweak the color,
white balance, etc.., but using imaging software to create something
that is dishonestly represented
is not acceptable. We will largely trust you to hold to this stipulation, as
our discerning eyes may not be sharp enough to catch all perps.
- Our judges reserve
the right to refuse any photograph that they define
as unacceptable.
- Employees of 21st Century Dental and their families are not
eligible
to participate.
- 21st Century Dental is not responsible for any photos which are
lost or damaged in the mail.
- Photographs may be e-mailed or sent by
snail mail. If sent through the mail or brought to the office, they
should be no larger than 5x7. If e-mailed,
the format should be in jpeg or gif format. Photographs may be either color
or black/white. We reserve the right to crop your photo if needed.
- 21st Century
Dental and all other sponsors reserve the non-exclusive right to
use entries with full credit given to artist and without compensation
for the following purposes:
- Photo exhibitions related to
this contest
- Publication of books and calendars
- Promotional activities
conducted by the organizer and co-sponsors
- Promotional activities
conducted by the organizers and publications issued by the
organizers.
Judging
- Entries will be judged according to the combined originality,
esthetic value (think calendar photos), and adherence to the toothbrushing
theme.
- There will be approximately five judges, who will not be part of
21st Century Dental, but will have extensive knowledge of photographic
quality as well as inside knowledge of what a toothbrush looks like.
- A complete
list of judges will be available upon special request.
- The organizers
and the judges shall have the final word in all decisions made concerning
the contest.
Matters of Agreement
- By submitting photos to this contest, contestants are automatically
regarded as having consented to the rules of this contest.
